I’m Ignacio Aredez, an Argentine based in Germany. I have worked for more than 20 years in technology, 15 of them in data, machine learning and AI governance, for clients across Europe and the Americas.

I build and offer several data and artificial intelligence solutions: my own software and systems with human verification. At Despegue I apply that same approach to a concrete question: where the Argentine economy is moving, what that investment is opening up, and how it turns into concrete work for companies and territories.

What is published

The figures carry their seal and the source that lets you check them. Today the site holds 2,181 sources on file.

The idea is simple: the work should be auditable without having to trust whoever wrote it.

I was also worldwide top 50 in HackAPrompt 2.0, an international AI red-teaming competition with around 32,000 participants, and I am a registered expert in the European Commission’s expert database, within the Funding & Tenders Portal.

Why I do this

Argentina is entering an investment cycle that can transform whole sectors and territories. But between an investment being announced and a specific company working out what it can sell, when, to whom and where to start, there is an enormous distance.

Despegue exists to close that distance.

I track projects, investments, rules, sectors and supply chains and turn them into information you can act on: what is happening, where, how much it moves, what demand it may create and which companies have an opportunity around it.

That serves a company trying to understand where what it sells fits in, and it also serves a whole sector or territory: which capabilities already exist there and which ones can connect to the new investment, so that a large investment does not stay an announced figure and suppliers, customers, jobs and growing companies appear around it.

I also hold a position on the economic direction. I believe in a more open economy, with legal certainty, competition and room for companies and people to produce, invest and prosper.

That opinion is stated; the data does not depend on it.

That is why the figures carry their seal, their source and their date, and the tracking also includes what contradicts the thesis.

What I am building

I build Despegue around a simple idea: when an economy changes, the opportunities appear before the information arrives in order.

An investment is announced in one place, the rule comes out in another, the contractor shows up later, a province opens a register and months afterwards the buying starts. Large organisations can put teams on rebuilding that map. A small firm, a supplier or someone trying to enter a sector usually cannot.

Despegue tries to do that work beforehand: follow the signals, connect them and show where something can turn into a concrete opportunity, with the source alongside so anyone can review the reasoning.

The ambition is that a company or a person can see where the next economic opportunity is forming before it is obvious to everyone, and have enough information to decide whether to step in.

Who pays for this

Despegue is free and sells no advertising and no positions inside its pages.

Nobody pays to appear, to appear better, or to change what a page says. Commercial work does not modify the site’s editorial content, or how a company, project or territory is treated in the public pages.

Despegue is published by GENAI AREDEZ SRL, of which I am the sole shareholder, and I am the editor responsible. The company details are in the Legal notice.

What is charged for

The bespoke analysis. I start from what a company does and cross it with the projects, investments and supply chains I track, to answer where it can get in, who might buy from it, when demand appears and what to move first. It is not a list of projects: it is an entry map for that specific company. The same reading serves chambers of commerce, clusters, industrial parks, development agencies, provinces and municipalities.
