I’m Ignacio Aredez, chief analyst at Despegue. My background is in data science and AI governance: more than 10 years for clients across Europe and the Americas, and I founded GENAI AREDEZ, where I design AI systems with human verification. Despegue is where I apply that to a single question: where is the Argentine economy taking off, and who can get on board.

Why I do this
I do this because I believe in the direction Argentina has taken. I believe you don’t help people by handing them money —that breeds dependency and more poverty— but by giving them tools to become self-sufficient, produce and prosper on their own. Value is created by those who produce, not by the State.
And I believe prosperity has concrete conditions: when property is respected, taxes come down and markets open, people save, invest and grow — and a country can become a power again. Whoever produces competes, and the end user decides, getting the best product at the best price, without the State picking winners. I believe in equality before the law —the same for everyone—, in the freedom of each person to live as they wish, and in the values of the West.
Argentina has what it takes: energy, mining, agriculture, talent. If those rules hold, that wealth turns into real investment and jobs — and that’s what I track, province by province, with verifiable data, not faith. If the path works here, it can change things in many places around the world. Neutral on the data, with a stated opinion: I trust the direction because the numbers back it.

Who pays for this
The site is free and sells no advertising and no space: nobody pays to appear on a page, or to change how they appear. What is charged for is the bespoke report a company commissions, and that commission does not change what a page says.
